Shawn and Kyra left for Ferndale, Washington on June 2, while I finished out the school year in Santa Cruz. Shawn called in with progress reports on the work he and Homer were doing to get the Itsuro ready for this summer's travels through the Inside Passage. As of June 17, the Itsuro was still in the test tank next to Homer's shop. This test tank thing is really amazing! The boat feels like we're at a dock, yet we're floating in someone's backyard.
