Resources, Links, and "Thank You" Page

The page includes a collection of services, links and information that we found useful along the way. the list is not comprehensive, but includes resources we've actually used. We will gradually add to the list, with each trip.

Cruising Guides:

Waggoner Cruising Guide
We've found this to be the best guide for traveling through British Columbia. The Waggoner website also has numerous resources. Someday, I'd like to meet Bob Hale and shake his hand. We're real fans.
MyCruisingLog.com
We just learned about this resource from Alecia and Stefan at Drayton Harbor Days in Blaine. This website is being developed as collaborative resource amoung boaters. It includes a wiki where boaters can share information. What a great idea! Not everyone wants to learn html or web authoring tools, or develop a website to share their experiences.
Exploring Southeast Alaska by Don and Reanne Douglass
Don and Reanne have written numerous helpful and very precise guides for cruising waters around British Columbia and Alaska. It was a pleasure to chat with them in Sitka on the 4th of July sa few years ago.

Boat Repair Services, Boat-Building, etc.

Blaine Marine Services
We thank them so much for their help in resolving our electrical issues, as well as for their expert advice.
Ocean Pacific Marine Supply Ltd.
All you have to do is read about our stuffing box issues in Campbell River to know how much we appreciated these folks.
Westman Marine in Blaine
I could not find a web link, but they're very easy to find next to the harbor in Blaine.
Allweather Boats
We can't thank Homer enough for all of his work on these boats. It'd be great if someone could buy the business from him, and keep this innovative design. We have lots of great ideas to share. Any interested boatbuilders out there? With the rising prices of fuel this could be a growing niche.

Marinas (partial list)

Blaine Harbor
This was a favorite hangout for us. Thanks to the folks in the Harbor office.
Discovery Harbour Marina in Campbell River
They made us feel right at home, as we waited for repairs.
Blind Channel Resort
This is a beautiful place!
